HAEM MIDSOLE TECHNOLOGY

Haem (pronounced HEEM) is described as "an iron-containing compound of the porphyrin class which forms the non-protein part of haemoglobin and some other biological molecules."

In essence, Haem is the building block of life. Haem transports Iron (haemoglobin) to bind with oxygen in the bloodstream. The body cannot function without Haem or Oxygen, much like you or us cannot function without running.

We called our our proprietary blend of compression moulded Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Haem because it is the building blocks of running (life) and having our perfectly balanced foam under foot will not only make your run less jarring on the body, but help you feel alive.

The first variation of Haem Midsole we created is Haem-Float as currently used in the Forge V1.

Haem-Float is built on 3 characteristics:

  • Soft, yet responsive underfoot feel
  • High levels of energy return
  • Does not compress as easily as other foams.

These 3 characteristics make it the perfect blend of ultra-distance runners.

Through the many variations of testing, we were able to achieve these characteristics through a combination of Durometer adjustments and injecting more rubber into the mould, allowing us to get a foam that has exceeds the performance abilities of competing foams whilst remaining feather weight.

Currently in development phase is Haem-SuperFly using the latest generation of PEBAX technology to maximise energy return and reduce running related fatigue. Haem-Superfly is expected to make it's debut in our Quphoria model due for release 2022.
